How do i get people to stop thinking im a little kid on xbox live?

I am getting a headset tomorrow for xbox live lat time i had one the kept saying im 7 i swear im o little kid the mic makes my voice sound higher and i hate these idiots saying im a Little kid when im not its very annoying an i wnt i to stop! Can i adjust it somehow? thanks!
