Is pregnancy possible?

my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex about a week and a half ago. he swears that he pulled out but i know that doesnt always work. a few days after i started spotting a little and having nausea in the mornings. i took a test and it was negative. could it be possible i took it too early and should wait again to take another one, or could it be something else besides pregnancy?
