Why are married people so smug towards their single friends? I want a man but they all tell me not to bother?

It's not bull **** when people say to stop looking and embrace being single. I met my husband after I quit looking and at the time I loved being single. Right after I swore off men, he came into my life a year and about 2 months ago, we've literally been inseparable since.
