Help with long distance relationship?

It is a long story but the one I love lives in Ohio while I am in California. We tried seeing other people. Open relationships but we can't. The jealousy is too much. Should we try ling distance? We are afraid we will crumble. What are the pros and cons? We are VERY much in love.
