How old do you have to be to receive your driver's permit in the state of Missouri?

I just turned 15 and the second oldest in my class. I wanted to know how old i have to be to receive my driver's permit in the state of Missouri. I could have sworn the age is 15, but my friends are arguing that the age is 15 and six months. Is this true? Did they change the law or something? Thanks :)
