Will my Olympus warranty cover this? My camera is supposed to be shockproof.?

I have an Olympus Stylus Tough 3000. The other day I dropped it from about three and a half feet onto the tile and the battery/memory card cover broke. The hinge was the only thing that broke really, it crumbled. The cover was properly locked in place when it fell. Will my warranty cover this? It's supposed to be shockproof up to 5 feet, and it's less than a year old.
