Why did one of my political homies john mccain have to pick someone so bad for vice pres?

if he would have picked someone good, like Lamar Alexander, i totally would have voted for him man, he is a hero and he is not afraid to cross the aisle to do whats best for america, but sarah palin would not be a good president. anybody else think this?
